How We Started This Blog
Do you want to create something meaningful? Why not start a blog? Why not become a blogger? Creating this blog is one of the best decisions Ryan and I have ever made. After all our blog is a way of making a living. More importantly, it is how we add value to other people's lives.
So you’re thinking of starting a blogging, but you have no idea from where to start, right? Guess what — neither did we! Before we became “Minimalists,” we wanted to start a blogging, but we were overwhelmed by the options.
Being ignorant, confused, and confused about decisions, we did not know how to start a blog or how to become a blogger. When should we start? How do we register a domain name? What is hosting? Which blogging platform should we use? How do we choose a blog theme? What is a plugin? What should we write about? Hello, we could not spell HTML, let alone create a blog!
But the good news: it turns out that starting a blog is a lot easier than you think. We have learned many lessons during our rise in millions of readers, and now you can learn from our pain and suffering to avoid much of the stress involved in setting up a blog.

While there are other blogging forums such as Blogger.com and Tumblr.com, almost every serious blogger uses a WordPress site that is self-contained due to its freedom of creativity and flexibility.
Choose a name for your blog and get your blog hosted
The first thing we did when we started our blog was to go to Bluehost and register our domain, free of hosting. We'll explain the temporary hosting, but let's talk about your domain name first.
Choose your domain name
Your domain name is an important part of your blog because it creates the first impression — it's the name of your blog. Also known as your URL, domain and address on the web. For example, our domain name is www.javidkhan137.com.
So, what do you want to name of your website? Maybe it's YourName.com. Probably byYourBusinessName.com. Or maybe the name of the creative product you thought of. If you are having trouble thinking of a good domain name, try Wordoid, a great design tool that will give you many good options. Just make sure you do not buy a domain from them because Bluehost will give you a free domain. (If you have already purchased a domain elsewhere, fine, too, because Bluehost will make it easier to transfer your existing domain during the setup process.)
Set up blog hosting
Once you have determined the domain name, you will need to stop hosting your blog. Although WordPress itself is free (see Step 2 below), you need a reliable place to host your WordPress blog (your blog needs to be located somewhere online).
