Pakistan is reviewing passenger travel regulations in the UAE, other countries

ISLAMABAD - The Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority on Saturday released revised guidelines for international passengers to avoid crowds at Islamabad International Airport.

Reports quoting the country's airport director say passengers will have to arrive at the airport four hours before departure and people traveling to Dubai, Sharjah, and Abu Dhabi will have to arrive five hours before departure.

It also adds that Rapid Covid tests conducted at the airport will not be offered to passengers traveling to the Gulf regions. For other passengers, 30 people will be allowed to enter the boarding station on time.

CAA has reviewed travel regulations after the United Arab Emirates General Civil Aviation Authority made the Security Decision 2020-20 compulsory on all flights to and from UAE airports amid growing new Covid infections worldwide.

It has asked management not to release inspection reports for passengers intending to fly to the Emirates at the same time. When a passenger receives his or her test report and arrives at the boarding pass, he or she must follow the 30-step guidelines of the CAA.

The airport manager said the airline would make an official announcement about this before closing its counter.

In addition, more Airport Security personnel have been called in as all international passengers will be immediately checked for safety before boarding, according to reports.
