Meera is the wife of Atiq-ur-Rehman, the court said
A Lahore court on Monday dismissed an application by Pakistani filmmaker Meera to annul her marriage and declared her the wife of businessman Atiq-ur-Rehman.
Extraordinary Judge Mazhar Abbas handed down his verdict on Meera's appeal against the family court's decision to declare 'Nazar' actress Atiq's wife.
Meera has pleaded not to be Atiq's wife and to be prepared for a fake Nikah certificate.
It is worth mentioning here that the businessman said he married the Inha actor back in 2007. Their house in Lahore is said to be the source of the controversy.
Atiq said Meera was his wife before filing a lawsuit against him. The plaintiff also submitted material evidence such as nikkahnama and wedding photographs. Meera, however, denied the evidence and said it was flawed.
Also, Atiq had accused Meera of marrying Captain Naveed in 2013 without a divorce.
